SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The No. 18 West Texas A&M women's soccer team is still perfect on the season (6-0) after a 3-2 victory over Incarnate Word on Friday.

The Lady Buffs scored two early first half goals to take the lead at the break 2-0. Freshman Brianna McMillian (Amarillo, Texas) scored the first goal for WT, while the goal by McMillian was followed up by sophomore Elisabeth Markussen (Borkup, Demark) during the 16th minute.

In the 59th minute Incarnate Word scored its first goal to bring the contest within one. However, senior Sarit Shenar (Rehovot, Israel) top the night off for WT with a penalty kick at the 69th minute to bring the lead back to two. The PK is the 10th goal this season for Shenar.

The win ties the best start for the Lady Buffs, as they accomplished 6-0 in 2000 and 1996. The next action for WT is Sunday against St. Mary's (Texas) at 1 p.m.; the match can be heard on the Internet at http://www.stmarytx.edu/athletics/?go=snkpit .
