Mainz ran on to the ball and lofted the ball over Jungmann's head from 10 yards out to put Washburn up 1-0. The next two Washburn goals came just 28 seconds apart as Wiseman found the back of the net from five yards in front of the goal (assisted by Lawless)and Mainz hammered a shot from the top of the box to the lower left corner (assisted by Nigg). Calcote put WT on the board in the second half as Hiser played a through ball to her feet and she challenged Pearsons one-on-one. Calcote dribbled in and lofted her shot over Pearsons from three yards out. Washburn added an insurance goal 16 minutes later when Ayala fired a shot from the center of the box and it deflected off a WT defender to score. Calcote, Elisabeth Markussen and Danea Fontana each took three shots on goal for the Lady Buffs.
