2008: Named the Lone Star Conference Preseason Offensive Player of the Year.

2007: Markussen became on of the most feared offensive threats in the Lone Star Conference, as she scored 14 goals, including four game-winners, as the Lady Buffs became the first ever sixth seed to with the LSC Tournament. Her goal tally ties her for fifth in WT's record books for goals in a season and moving her up to second in goals in a career, with 30. She also added three assists, to tie her point total from last year (31), which puts her sixth in points in a season. Her 31 points pushes her career point total to 70, putting her in third place in points in a career, just two points behind the second place spot. She was honored as a member of the NSCAA/Adidas All-Midwest Region first team as well as being named the LSC Co-Offensive Player of the Year.

2006: Markussen played in 18 matched for the Lady Buffs as a sophomore, and was second on the team with 12 goals. She achieved a soccer rarity twice in 2006, as recorded hat tricks against UT-Permian Basin (Aug. 30) and against Southwestern Oklahoma (Oct. 15). Lady Buff great Sarit Shenar was the only other person to accomplish two hat tricks in a season, as she did it in 2004. Markussen finished second in the conference in goals (13), points (31), goals per game (0.72) and points per game (1.72), as well as being ranked among the top 25 in the NCAA in goals. She was third on the team with five assists and scored at least one point in 10 matches. Markussen put her name in the WTAMU record book in several offensive categories, including sixth in points per season (31 in 2006), sixth goals per season (13 in 2006), 13th in assists per season (five in 2006), ninth in points per career (39 thus far) and tied for ninth in goals per career (16 thus far). At season's end, she was named honorable mention All-LSC.

2005: Markussen played in 17 matches and finished the season second on the team in goals (4) while also tallying two assists. She scored the game-winning goal in the home opener against Northwestern on Sep. 1. Markussen was recognized for her efforts on the pitch at season's end as she was named honorable mention All-LSC.

High School: Markussen graduated from Rosborg Gymnasium (Denmark).

Major: Markussen is a General Business major at WTAMU.

Personal: Markussen is the daughter of Jorgen and Inga Markussen, and has two siblings Christian and Christina. At age 17, she was a member of the Denmark National Team.
