CANYON, Texas - The Ryan Palmer Foundation will sponsor a ball drop on Aug. 28 at Tascosa Country Club with a grand prize of $1,000 and proceeds from the event going to support the West Texas A&M men's and women's golf programs.

Up to 1,000 numbered balls will be dropped from a helicopter over a target at the golf course and the ball that ends up in closest to the target will be the winner. The cost to buy a ball is $5 and the money generated will be placed in the Ryan Palmer Endowed Scholarship fund which benefits the West Texas A&M golf programs. You do not need to be present to win the grand prize.

Prior to the ball drop, Ryan Palmer will put on a golf skills exposition at the course and all participating in the ball drop are invited to attend.
