CANYON, Texas -- On a wet and soggy Tuesday afternoon in Dallas, the West Texas A&M women's golf team completed its season with a fifth place finish in the Lone Star Conference Tournament. The Lady Buffs shot a two-day total of 705, placing them 63 strokes behind the winner Cameron, which won the event with a 642. Leading WTAMU was freshman Whitney Osborne, who tied for 18th with a final score of 171.

Just four strokes behind Osborne was freshman Mollie Peterson, who shot an 88 on Tuesday, while completing the rounds with a 175. Alone in 25th place was freshman Kaylee Zaiontz, who was a 32 over par for the tournament.

In 31st and 34th place for WTAMU was senior Beth Nussbaum and sophomore Krista Williams, who shot a 183 and a 213 respectively during the two-day event.
