Lady Buffs Ranked Seventh in Latest Regional Golf Ranking

CANYON, Texas - The West Texas A&M women's golf team is ranked seventh in this week's NCAA West Region poll, as released by the NCAA Thursday. The Lady Buffs moved up one slot, after having been ranked eighth in the season's initial ranking one week ago. The top nine teams in each region advance to the respective Regional tournaments. In addition to WT, other Lone Star Conference-member institutions to be among the top-nine teams are Tarleton State, who is slotted in the number-two position, and Central Oklahoma, ranked ninth. South Central Region 1. CSU-Monterey Bay 2. Tarleton State 3. St. Edwards 4. Sonoma State 5. Western Washington 6. Nebraska-Omaha 7. West Texas A&M 8. Chico State 9. Central Oklahoma. The Lady Buffs final tune-up before the LSC Championships will be next week, when they travel to Granbury, Texas, to compete in the Tarleton Coca-Cola Collegiate, to be held at Harbor Lakes Golf Course, April 13-14.
