SAN ANGELO, Texas - The West Texas A&M women's golf team lies fourth in the team standings after Monday's first-round action at the ASU Make-Up at San Angelo Country Club in San Angelo, Texas.

The Lady Buffs shot a team total of 320.  

Sara Coe (So., Amarillo, Texas) led the Lady Buffs, having shot 77 over the first round to tie for sixth, individually. Hammerli Sriyai (So., Bangkok, Thailand) shot 79 to put her in a tie for 13th.

Eva Rogers (Jr., Rockledge, Fla.) and Stephanie Kalapach (Fr., Saginaw, Texas) both shot an 82, putting them in a tie for 18th, while Mollie Peterson (Sr., Texico, N.M.) rounded out the scorecard for the Lady Buffs, tying for 24th after shooting am 85.

Competing as an individual, Whitney Osborne (Sr., Amarillo, Texas) also tied for 18th, having shot an 82 over the first round of play.


 

 

Angelo State is leading the tournament, with team score of 300. ASU’s Raelyn Smith is leading the individual scoring with 70.

Second round action of the ASU Make-Up is set for Tuesday morning with an 8 a.m. start.
