DUNCAN, Okla. - The West Texas A&M women's golf team wrapped up play with a fifth-place finish in the team standings at the Oklahoma Intercollegiate at the Territory Golf and Country Club in Duncan, Okla. The Lady Buffs cut seven strokes as team and jumped four spots in placing fifth, overall, and shot a two-day total of 633 (320, 313).

St. Edward’s led the tournament, with a team score of 614 (304, 310). St. Edward’s, Kirby Baker topped the individual scoring with a 144 (73, 71).

Leading the Lady Buffs was Hammerli Sriyai (So., Bangkok, Thailand) who shot a 74 on Tuesday to finish tied for fourth place, individuall. She finished with a total of 152 (78, 74). Sara Coe (So., Amarillo, Texas) shot 153 (77, 76) to place eighth, while Mollie Peterson (Sr., Texico, N.M.) carded 164 (84, 80), tying for 37th.

Eva Rogers (Jr., Rockledge, Fla.) tied for 44th with 166 (83, 83) and Whitney Osborne (Sr., Amarillo, Texas) shot 169 (82, 87) to finish tied for 52nd. Competing as an individual, Stephanie Kalapch (Fr., Saginaw, Texas) knocked off six strokes from her previous day’s score to post a two-day total of 162 (84, 78).

The Lady Buffs will be back in action October 19-20, when they compete in the Angelo State Make-Up Tournament, to be held at the San Angelo Country Club in San Angelo, Texas.
