Women's Golf Ninth After Round at Oklahoma Intercollegiate

DUNCAN, Okla. - The West Texas A&M women's golf team is tied for ninth place, with a team total of 320, after Monday's first-round action at the Oklahoma Intercollegiate. The event is being contested at the Territory Golf and Country Club in Duncan, Okla. St. Edward’s is leading the tournament, with a team score of 304. St. Edward’s, Kirby Baker is leading the individual scoring with a 73. Sara Coe (So., Amarillo, Texas) leads the Lady Buffs, shooting 77 over the first round to tie for ninth, individually. Following one stroke behind is Hammerli Sriyai (So., Bangkok, Thailand) who shot an 78, putting her in a tie for 17th, while Whitney Osborne (Sr., Amarillo, Texas) shot 84 to tie for 34th. Eva Rogers (Jr., Rockledge, Fla.) tied for 43rd with 83. Mollie Peterson (Sr., Texico, N.M.) rounded out the scorecard for the Lady Buffs, with a tie for 45th, shooting 84 to end the day. Competing as an individual, Stephanie Kalapach (Fr., Saginaw, Texas) also tied for 45th, having shot an 84 over the first round of play. Second round action of the Oklahoma Intercollegiate is set for Tuesday morning with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start.
