STEPHENVILLE, Texas - At the end of round one, the West Texas A&M women's golf team found itself in 12th place at the Tarleton State Coca-Cola Classic after shooting a 337, 42 strokes behind first place McLennan CC.

Leading the way for the Lady Buffs was senior Beth Nussbaum, who shot a first round 75 and is five strokes behind the leader, Fiona Smith of Lon Morris CC. Nussbaum is in a six way tie for 11th place heading into day two.

Freshman classmates Mollie Peterson and Kaylee Zaiontz are in a tie for 44th and 63rd respectively after Monday. Rounding out the Lady Buff golfers is sophomore Krista Williams, who shot day one total of 94.

Day two of the Tarleton State Coca-Cola Classic was to have a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
