AUSTIN, Texas -- Led by having two players in the top 20, the West Texas A&M University women's golf team is in ninth-place after the first round of play at the St. Edward's University Fall Invitational at Bastrop, Texas.

The Lady Buffs carded a combined 347 to sit in ninth place after the first round. St. Mary's University leads the 14-team field with a 320.

Individually, sophomore Madison Easley is in a four-way tie for eighth, while senior Rachel Clark is part of a five-way logjam for 12th. Freshman Brittyne Lewis and junior Beth Ann Nussbaum are tied for 45th with 92's, while freshman Korissa Cheek is tied for 70th with 105. Fellow freshman Stephanie Marufo is playing as an individual and is tied for 61st with a 97.

The second and final round tees off Tuesday morning.
