Junior Meredith Easley (Amarillo, Texas) is tied atop the leader board after the first day at the Dinosaur Classic, hosted by Tarleton State University at Squaw Valley Golf Course at Glen Rose, Texas.

The West Texas A&M University women's golf team is tied for 10th-place in the 14-team field, shooting a 337 as a team, behind host Tarleton State, who leads with a 307.

Easley carded a par-72 and is tied with McMurry's Brittany Cary for the lead. Easley shot a low-round 34 on the front nine, while Cary shot a low-round 35 on the back nine.

The tournament will wrap-up on Tuesday with 18 holes.
