WTAMU Women's Golf Finished 11th at the Grand Canyon University Invitational

PHEONIX, Ariz. - The West Texas A&M women's golf team finished play at the Grand Canyon University Fall Invitational Wednesday afternoon, ending the event in 11th place. The Lady Buffs were led in scoring by freshman Mollie Peterson, who finished with a two-day total of 162 for a 26th place finish. Peterson finished 16 strokes behind the individual winner Jennell French, who shot a 146 and helped lead her Cal-State San Marcos teammates capture first place honors. Senior Beth Ann Nussbaum and freshman Kaylee Zaiontz tied for 40th after ending play with scores of 168. Rounding out the finishers for WTAMU were junior Madison Easley, who shot a total of 175 finished in a tie for 47th, and sophomore Krista Williams, who ended the two days in 54th place after she posted a tournament scorecard of 190. The fall schedule for the Lady Buffs will conclude on Oct. 9 as they tee off at the Tarleton State Fall Golf Tournament.
