TAHLEQUAH, Okla. - The West Texas A&M women's golf team turned in an 11th place finish out of more than 20 squads Tuesday at the Northeastern State Golf Classic in Tahlequah, Okla.

"The course was challenging and it definitely highlighted some areas in which our team needs to improve," head coach Meredith Easley-Jameson said. "I was impressed with our short game, we putted very well. This was a good tournament for our team because this course is very similar to Trophy Club, where we will play our conference tournament."

The Lady Buffs turned in their cards with a final tally of +94, 52 shots behind tournament champion, Drury University. Jessica Harbin led the crowd as the only player under par, shooting -1 (70-73--143)

Freshman Mollie Peterson paced the Lady Buffs for the second straight tournament, placing 40th overall while shooting a two round score of +22 (81-85--166).

Just a stroke behind Peterson, senior Beth Nussbaum and junior Madison Easley finished tied for 45th, shooting a 167.

Freshman Kaylee Zaiontz knocked in a tournament score of 170, +26 for the two days, as Krista Williams rounded up the Lady Buff squad with a final tally of +62.
