Dallas, Texas – The West Texas A&M women’s golf team was slated to compete in the DBU Golf Classic, hosted by Dallas Baptist University Monday and Tuesday of this week.

However, torrential rains in the Dallas/Fort Worth area have forced tournament officials to cancel the tournament. With over 10 inches of rain standing in parts of the Golf Club of Dallas course, the course was ruled unplayable.

The tournament will not be rescheduled and the Lady Buffs will look to add an additional tournament to their Fall 2009 schedule.

The Lady Buffs next outing will be Sept. 21-22 when they compete in the Queens Invitational, to be held at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra, Fla.
