GOODYEAR, Ariz. -- The West Texas A&M University women's golf team finished 12th out of the 17-team field at the Grand Canyon University Women's Invitational Tuesday at Palm Valley Country Club at Goodyear, Ariz.

WTAMU carded a 341 Tuesday, to finish with a combined 669. Western Washington University took top honors with a 615.

Senior Rachel Clark was the top Lady Buff finisher, finishing in a two-way tie for 11th with a 10-over 154. Clark entered the day tied for the lead with an even-72, but struggled Tuesday with an 82. Freshman Brittyne Lewis was tied for 55th with a 166 (86-80), while junior teammate Beth Ann Nussbaum carded a 172, and was tied for 63rd. Sophomore Madison Easley was tied for 69th with a 177.

The University of Central Oklahoma's Ashley Kelley and Grand Canyon's Jessica McKay shared individual medalist honors with 1-under 143's.

The Lady Buffs host the WTAMU/Subway Invitational, Monday-Tuesday, April 3-4 at Tascosa Country Club at Amarillo, Texas, in the final tune-up for the Lone Star Conference Championships April 16-17, at Trophy Club, Texas.
