Complete Round One Results in PDF Format

PHOENIX, Ariz. - The Lady Buff golf team sits in sixth place, but just 12 shots of the overall lead, after Monday's opening round at the Grand Canyon Women's Invitational in Phoenix, Ariz.

Sophomore Whitney Osborne posted a 36 on her first nine holes of the day during round one on her way to finishing with a round total of 76. The round puts the Amarillo, Texas, native in seventh place individually, just five shots off overall leader Stephanie Bird of Northeastern State.

Teammate and fellow sophomore Mollie Peterson was the next highest finisher for WT, ending play in a tie for 21st place after a round of 79.

A trio of Lady Buff golfers rounded out the WT contingency in a tie for 45th place, with Lacy Torbert, Stephanie Boldger and Christal Kendrick all turning in rounds of 82 on Monday.

The Grand Canyon Women's Invitational continues tomorrow with play beginning at 7 a.m.
