WTAMU Equestrian Scholarship Opportunities

Scholarship Information
WTAMU Equestrian offers competitive scholarship opportunities for incoming students, both freshman and transfer students. Equestrian scholarships are meant to reward potential student athletes that combine the qualities that are most highly regarded in WT Equestrian Team members. The combination of riding ability and potential, academic success, athletic ability and a team oriented attitude are essential to each athlete being a contributing and successful team member.

Scholarship Application Criteria

• Formal letter to Head Coach stating intent to join WTAMU Equestrian the following fall semester
• Personal essay over; 1) what personal qualities will make her an asset to the team and what she will bring to the program and 2) what she hopes to gain by being a part of the WTAMU Equestrian Team
• Equestrian Resume, include show, lesson and training experience in all disciplines ridden
• Video of riding demonstration displaying rider on at least 2 different horses at all gaits. The main point of the video is to show the position and qualities of the rider not horse. The video should be no longer than 10 minutes
• Transcript, either high school or from previous college/university
• WTAMU scholarship application form submitted to the university (can be found at www.wtamu.edu)

Scholarship application packets can be submitted electronically or through postal mail. Video are encouraged as hyperlink or on DVD. Packets can be submitted to:
