West Texas A&M University Lady Buff equestrian riders Meghan Mackey and Courtney Douglas earned spots for the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association National Championship Show at the Zone Championship Show at Stillwater, Okla. last weekend, April 7-8.

Mackey, a senior open fence rider, and Douglas, junior novice horsemanship rider, both captured first place in their respective classes.

Other riders that competed at the Zone Championship Show, hosted by Oklahoma State University, were junior novice rider JoAnna Pazderny, sophomore novice rider Catherine Brown, sophomore walk-trot-canter rider Stefanie Gilbert and sophomore advanced rider Krissy Mailman.

The Intercollegiate Horse Show Association National Championship Show will be in Harrisburg, Pa., May 4-7.
