The West Texas A&M University Hunter riders of the equestrian team will be on the road again this weekend, heading to Las Cruces, N.M. for two shows hosted by New Mexico State University. The Lady Buffs will be competing in their last two Hunt seat shows of the season. Currently the Lady Buff riders are second in their region and hoping to capture first place in New Mexico.

Senior open rider Meghan Mackey and sophomore open rider Whitney Fouts are expected to get their points to qualify for regionals. Other riders to watch are sophomore novice rider Catherine Brown and junior novice rider Stephanie Gilbert, who are close to qualifying for regionals as well.

With the completion of the season the Lady Buff will be looking towards the Regional show, which is scheduled for March 11 at Colorado, but may be rescheduled.

In other equestrian news, WTAMU has recently been selected to compete in the Varsity Equestrian National Championship, April 21-22.
