CANYON, Texas - The WT Equestrian team traveled to Longmont, Colorado this past weekend to compete in the IHSA Hunt Seat Zone 7 Championship on April 5^th. After a tie in points with the University of Colorado, a tie breaker for the most points over fences ensued. WT pulled out in first place winning the show and moving them on to Nationals.  

Lady Buff, Natalie Baker, will be moving on to Nationals as an Individual in Novice Fences. 

WT will now have a western team, a hunt seat team, three individual riders, and an AQHA cup rider at Nationals.  Out of over 350 teams in the IHSA, WT is one of two schools to have both a hunt seat and western team at the National Championship.

Nationals are hosted at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN April 23-26^th, 2009.
