The West Texas A&M University western Equestrian team returned home from this weekend's battle with rival New Mexico State University, finishing third in Saturday's show and second in Sunday's show, leaving WTAMU in second-place in the region standings.

Sophomore open rider Krissy Mailman showed nothing but that she was the best when she finished no lower than second place all weekend and tied for High Point Rider on Sunday. Courtney Douglas, junior novice rider, and freshman open rider Amy Thompson both earned their points to continue down the road to Regionals on March 11.

The WTAMU Equestrian team will travel March 3-4 for the last two English shows of the season before Regionals. Currently the English team is sitting in second place behind New Mexico State University.
