CANYON, Texas – The Lone Star Conference champion and #1-seed West Texas A&M is set to host the NCAA South Central Regional tournament , March 13-16, 2009, at the First United Bank Center in Canyon, Texas.

The Lady Buffs will face #8-seed Abilene Christian on Friday, March 13, at 8:00 p.m. CST. This will be the third meeting between the two LSC South Division members. WT took a 91-65 victory over ACU on Jan. 17 in Canyon, Texas, while the Wildcats dealt a 64-55 defeat to WT in Abilene, Texas, on Feb. 28.

Coming in at the #2-seed is the MIAA champion, Washburn (24-4) who will face #7 seed and Heartland Champion Incarnate Word. #3-seed Central Oklahoma (23-5) will face fellow LSC North Division member, $6-seed Southeastern Oklahoma, while #4-seed Emporia State will face Heartland Conference-member #5-seed St. Mary's.
