Sophomore Kylee Aleman named to the LSC South All-Academic Team

CANYON, Texas - The Lone Star Conference announced its All-Academic Women's Team on Tuesday, as voted on by the conference sports information directors. Six West Texas A&M women's basketball student-athletes were named to either the All-Academic Team or Commissioner's Honor Roll, the most by any school in the LSC.

Leading the way for WTAMU was sophomore Emily Brister, who was named to the All-Academic Team and was awarded LSC South Division Academic Player of the Year, for her efforts on and off the court. Also named to the LSC South All-Academic team was sophomore Kylee Aleman, who has a 4.0 GPA and is majoring in sports and exercise science.

Also awarded for their efforts in the classroom were senior's Jennifer Brock, Kara Pridey and Natalie Wheeler, who were named to the LSC South Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll. Additionally, sophomore Courtney Lee was named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll.

The Lady Buffs will be back in action on Friday in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in St. Joseph, Mo., against Northwest Missouri State at 3 p.m.
