WBB NOTES: WTAMU Wraps Up Road Action This Weekend Against MSU And TAMU-C

The West Texas A&M University Lady Buffs will continue their four-game road swing with hopes of solidifying second-place in the Lone Star Conference South Division this weekend. WTAMU will travel to Wichita Falls, Texas to take on Midwestern State University on Thursday, Feb. 17 at 6 p.m. The Lady Buffs will then head to Commerce, Texas to tangle with the team they currently share second-place with, Texas A&M University-Commerce on Saturday, Feb. 19 at 4 p.m.
WTAMU returns home on Thursday, Feb. 24 to take on Texas A&M University-Kingsville at 6 p.m., followed by the mens' contest. The Lady Buffs then wrap up the regular season by hosting Texas Woman's University on Saturday, Feb. 26. The world renowned slam dunk acrobatic group, "The Extreme Team" will perform at halftime of the Feb. 26 contest.
Stevenson and Petty Movin' On Up In WTAMU's Record Book:
Stevenson is the WTAMU record holder for both Career Free Throws Made and Career Free Throws Attempted records. Stevenson is presently 632-853 (.741), ranking sixth on WTAMU's Career Free Throw Percentage List.
Stevenson has become just the second player in Lady Buff history to eclipse the 800-rebound plateau, as she now has 819 career rebounds. Stevenson passed Teresa Tinner (1986-1990) with 777 rebounds for the No. 2 spot on the list. Brandi Green (1997-2001) is No. 1 with 874 rebounds. Stevenson also ranks fifth on WTAMU's Career Rebounding Average List with a 7.38 rpg career average. Green is No. 4 with a 7.41 rpg avg.
Stevenson has also moved up in the Career Field Goals Made and Attempted Lists, as she is 620-of-1,364 (.455). She is currently No. 5 for FG Made and No. 2 for FG Attempted. Vanessa Wells (1984-86) is No. 1 in both lists with 823-of-1,659.
Senior guard Suni Jo Petty passed Valeree Valedez (1997-99) for third on the WTAMU Career 3-Point Field Goals Made List, as Petty now has 173 treys. , passing Valedez' 168 treys. Petty also has moved into the Top 20 on the Career Scoring List, currently at No. 19 with 891 points, needing 12 points to pass Gwenda Johnson (1983-87) at No. 18 with 902 points.
