Brister Named LSC South Player of the Week for the Second Time
Feb. 12, 2007 CANYON, Texas - For the second time this season, West Texas A&M women's basketball sophomore Emily Brister was named Lone Star Conference South Division Player of the Week. The All-American guard averaged 28.5 points for the week against Texas A&M-Kingsville and Texas Woman's. Brister also averaged nearly five assists per game during the week, and was also 14-of-15 from the free throw line. Additionally, the Amarillo, Texas, native shot 52 percent from the field, going 18-of-34. Brister continues to help lead the team in scoring, averaging 22.3 points per game and has been instrumental in keeping the Lady Buffs the only unbeaten team in LSC play at 10-0.
WTAMU will be back in action on Wednesday when it hosts LSC South rival Angelo State at 6 p.m.
