The 19th-ranked West Texas A&M University Lady Buff basketball team will continue its Lone Star Conference South Division stretch-run of five roads games out of the final six this weekend when the Lady Buffs travel to Denton, Texas on Thursday, Feb. 9 to take on Texas Woman's University. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. at TWU's Kitty Magee Arena (1,800). On Saturday, Feb. 11, WTAMU will be at Kingsville, Texas to face-off with Texas A&M University-Kingsville. That contest will start at 2 p.m. at TAMU-K's Kleberg Bank Court (5,000).

The Lady Buffs are 18-3 overall and 7-1 in LSC South play, currently sitting in a three-way tie for first-place atop the division standings with Angelo State University and Tarleton State University.

WTAMU kept their perfect home record in tact this weekend as they defeated TAMUK on Saturday, 110-77, which moves them to 10-0 at home on the season. The Lady Buffs then moved on to play their third game in five days and defeated Eastern New Mexico University, 82-78, Monday night at Portales, N.M.

WTAMU is ranked No. 19 in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association Division II Poll, slipping a spot from last week after splitting two games last week. The Lady Buffs are No. 3 in the NCAA-II South Central Regional Rankings, which determine the 8-team field for the South Central Regional Tournament.
