CANYON, Texas - The West Texas A&M Lady Buffs have been successful on the court, but the off-the-court academic acheivements are also a focus for the team. The ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA all-district women’s basketball teams were announced on Thursday and the first team featured two Lady Buffs, Joni Unruh and Holly Isaacs.

Isaacs (Sr., G, Brownfield, Texas) currently boasts a cumulative 4.0 GPA as a pre-pharmacy major. Unruh (Jr., G, Amarillo, Texas) is a biology major with a cumulative 3.87 GPA.

Both Isaacs and Unruh will move on to the national ballot for Academic all-American consideration.
