Previous School Simmons attended Trinity Valley Community College in Athens, Texas and played forward for head coach Michael Landers. High School At Jesse H. Jones High in Houston, Texas, Simmons was a power forward for head coach Q Shelton. As a senior, she was named the State Most Valuable Player, being the first player in Texas to receive the honor without her team making it to state. She was also selected as the Great Houston Player of the Year. Simmons also lettered in cross country and volleyball in all four years of high school. Personal Jamie is the mother of a one-year-old daughter, Royaltee. She has five siblings, Kinberly, Tyeshia, Christopher, George, and Brittany. She is a Mass Communication major with an emphasis in sports broadcasting. |
