Previous School Sherman played basketball at the University of Central Arkansas under head coach Matt Daniel before transferring to WT. An allaround athlete, she played both the guard and the post positions for the Bears. High School Under head coach Brad Floyd at Mt. Vernon High in Mt. Vernon, Texas, Sherman helped her team to a 27-7 finish and a regional final in her senior season. She was named the offensive player of the year, was an all-State selection, and was the MVP of the North/South all-star game as a senior. In her junior year, she was again named the offensive player of the year. In both her freshman and sophomore campaigns, she garnered defensive player of the year accolades. Sherman lettered in volleyball and track all four years of high school. In track, she qualified for the regional meet in five events every year. Personal Sherman is the daughter of Larry and Staci Sherman of Lavon, Texas. She has an older sister, Linza and is currently majoring in Kinesiology with a minor in special education. |
