Courtney Nowlin begins her third season as a graduate assistant with the West Texas A&M women's basketball program.

A 2005 graduate of Angelo State, Nowlin received her degree in kinesiology with a minor psychology. She was a member of an Angelo State team that won the Lone Star Conference for three seasons, and qualified for the NCAA Regional Tournament all four seasons. The Rambelles also made regional semifinal appearances as well during the 2002-03 and 2004-05.

Individually, Nowlin was a three year starter for the Rambelles, named second team All-LSC and was also honored as the Lone Star Conference Player of the Week. As a senior, she led the league in field goal percentage, shooting 53 percent and scored a career-high 32 points.

In high school, Nowlin was named Amarillo Globe-News Super Team for Class 3A while at Perryton (Texas) High School. She was also tabbed second team all-State as a senior and first team all-State as a junior. Nowlin was a three sport athlete at Perryton, earning an all-State selection in volleyball, and all-District honors in tennis.

Prior to joining the WTAMU women's basketball staff, Nowlin worked for the San Antonio Spurs in marketing, public relations and corporate sales from May 2005 to October 2006.

The Perryton, Texas, native is working on her masters degree in education administration and lives in Canyon.
