The West Texas A&M University men's and women's cross country teams will be on the road this weekend for their second meet of the season, heading to Abilene, Texas for the Abilene Christian University Classic on Friday, September 10th. The women's race will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the men's race at 6:30 p.m.

The women's team, who are coming off a third place finish in last weekend's West Texas A&M University opener, are led by freshman Jisel Bailon who placed third in last weekend's race, finishing the three kilometer course in 21:41 and freshman Sara McCombs, whose time of 24:46 earned her the 31st spot.

The men's team, which finished fifth last weekend, is led by senior Lito Belmontes, who finished 23rd in the men's four mile run with a time of 23:50 and freshman Zach Valdez who picked up 31st in 25:19 during last weekend's race.

The two teams will continue their season at the New Mexico Highlands Invitational in Las Vegas, N.M. on Saturday, September 25th beginning at 11 a.m.
