COMMERCE - Texas -- Three members of the West Texas A&M University men's cross country team ran at the NCAA-II South Central Regional Saturday at Eddie Moore Park at Commerce, Texas.

Junior Santiago Bustillos was the Buffs' top finisher, placing 49th with a time of 33:38.4.

Junior Carmelo Morales finished 93rd with a time of 36:05.00 and sophomore Adam Penn was 99th with a time of 37:02.00.

Bernard Manirakiza of Abilene Christian led the field of 117 runners, crossing the tape in 30:19.90, ahead of teammate Martin Okello in 30:32.30. ACU won the team title with 26 points and was one of four teams to qualify for the NCAA-II National Championships, on Nov. 22 at Cary, North Carolina.
