The West Texas A&M University men's cross country team finished in 22nd, Saturday, at Stillwater, Oklahoma, in the Oklahoma State Cowboy Jamboree.

Southern Nazerene Sam Dech won the 8000 m race with a time of 25:26.

But it was Colorado College that won the team honors with a combined time of 2:12:52. WTAMU had a team time of 2:31:42.

The Buffs sophomore Eduardo Hernandez finsihed in 94th place with a time of 28:56.

The other WTAMU members came in 98th, Carmelo Morales at 29:06, 188th, Adam Penn at 29:37, 143rd, J.D. Parker at 31:50, 145th, Jeremy Albers at 32:13, and 161, Wayland Moses at 35:21.

The Buffs resume action October 18 in Leveland, Texas for the South Plains Invite.
