Results

The West Texas A&M University men's cross country team finished fifth and the women were seventh at the Abilene Christian University Invite Friday.

Host Abilene Christian won both the men's and women's team standings, with the men scoring 17 points (2 off the perfect score of 15) and the women tallying 27 points, sweeping the top five positions.

Bernard Manirakiza of Abilene Christian was the men's winner with a time of 20:02.78, while fellow ACU runner Yuliya Stashkiv was the women's winner, with a 18:36.98 time.

Santiago Bustillos, led the Buffalo men, with a 19th-place finish and a time of 23:16.07. The WTAMU women were led by Jami Hutcherson, who finished 27th with a clocking of 21:48.38.
