General: Huerta continues to bring a competitive edge to the Buffs.

2007: Huerta finished the season at the NCAA-II South Central Regional meet, hosted by Missouri Southern in Joplin, Mo. on Nov. 3. He set all season best times in the field of 116 runners. Huerta finished the 10K course in 98^th place a run of 35:11. The West Texas A&M men's cross country team finished 8th in the Lone Star Conference Championships in Commerce on Oct. 20. He finished 35^th with a time of 28:38.61. Huerta finished 19^th in the ASU Blue & Gold Classic in San Angelo on Oct. 12. Huerta finished 87^th in the Oklahoma State Cowboy Jamboree on Sept. 29 in Stillwater, Okla. Huerta competed in the Texas Tech Invitational on Sept. 17 in Lubbock. He finished the five mile run in 27:29.50. Huerta competed in the WTAMU Buffalo Stampede which took place at the WTAMU Horse Center in Canyon on Aug. 31. He finished 31^st with a run of 23:21.

High School: Huerta attended Hereford High where he ran for coach Ray Baca.
