NSCAA Announces Postseason National Rankings

CANYON, Texas - The NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America) has announced their postseason national rankings and the Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M finish the season in the sixth spot while the Buffs finish at #11. The Lady Buffs made school history this season, as they advanced to the first Elite Eight in school history with a 15-3-4 overall record. WT won the Lone Star Conference regular season championship for the second consecutive season under head coach Butch Lauffer. The #6 ranking ties the highest of the season for the Lady Buffs as they were ranked in that position in the Sept. 22 poll. The Buffs finish the season in the #11 slot as they advanced to the South Central Region Championship match before falling to Fort Lewis. WT won a share of the Lone Star Conference chamionship with rival Midwestern State while finishing with a 15-2-2 overall record. The Buffs were ranked as high as #3 this season, while is the highest ranking in school history.
