CANYON, TEXAS - The West Texas A&M men's soccer team have inched their way to fourth in the National Soccer Coach's Association of America (NSCAA) national rankings as announced by the organization Tuesday afternoon.

The number four ranking ties the highest position the Buffs have ever reached in the NSCAA national poll. During the 2001 season, the Buffs ended the season fourth in the national poll and competed in the NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Elite Eight Tournament.

The Buffs continue to lead the NSCAA South Central region and the NCAA Division II South Central region for another week in a row with a record of 13-1-2, 3-0-2 LSC, after defeating Eastern New Mexico, 2-1, on Wed. Oct. 28. Regional rankings will determine the seeded position of the Buffs in the NCAA Division II South Central Regional Tournament taking place Nov. 12-15.

The #4 Buffs travel to Tahlequah, Okla. On Sunday, Nov. 8 for their final regular LSC match of the season. Game time is set of 12 p.m. CST. With a win, the Buffs will clinch a share of the LSC Championship title.
