Jacob Fynboe Jensen scored four goals over the Buffs' 2-0 weekend

CANYON, Texas - West Texas A&M men's soccer matches up against UT-Permian Basin and Eastern New Mexico this week in their return to The Pitch after picking up road wins over Colorado School of Mines and previously ranked Ft. Lewis over the weekend. With their recent victories, the Buffs claimed a No. 22 ranking in the NSCAA/adidas Division II National Poll - their first national ranking this season - and a third place ranking in the Midwest Region.

Sophomores Jacob Fynboe Jensen and Brad Williamson came on strong in the wins, scoring a combined six goals; Jensen tallied scored four goals - three against Colorado Mines - while Williamson scored once against Colorado Mines in addition to his game-winning overtime goal against Ft. Lewis.

With the wins, the Buffs improved to 9-1 overall and they look to pick up two more wins this week. WTAMU opened the season with a 2-1 victory over UTPB in Odessa and dominated a 7-1 win over ENMU in Portales, N.M., on Sept. 26; both teams come to Canyon with a record of 6-7 on the season.
