GOLDEN, Colo. - Sophomore Jacob Fynboe Jensen scored three times to propel West Texas A&M to a 5-2 victory over Midwest Region opponent Colorado Mines on Friday evening. Freshman Ben Everson and sophomore Brad Williamson also scored to help the Buffaloes improve to 8-1 on the season.

WTAMU struck first when Jensen scored in the 31st minute, but Colorado Mines scored less than a minute later to send the teams into halftime with a 1-1 tie.

CSM opened the second half with another goal to go ahead, 2-1, before the Buffaloes tied the game with Jensen's second goal of the match, assisted by freshman Colin Bjostad.

Everson scored his ninth goal of the season - his fifth gamewinner - on an assist from sophomore Lance Parks in the 80th minute to put the Buffs ahead, 3-2.

WTAMU scored two more times exactly thirty seconds apart to solidify their win. Williamson notched a goal at 87:14, his first of the season, on an assist from Everson, followed by Jensen scoring his third goal of the match at 87:44.

Freshman goalkeeper Shane Taylor made four saves and allowed two goals in 90:00 minutes of play.

West Texas A&M will face another regional opponent, No. 24 Ft. Lewis, on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. Ft. Lewis is ranked third in the region while WTAMU is ranked sixth.
