Abel Olivas Class: Freshman Hometown: Amarillo, Texas High School: Palo Duro Height: 5-8 Position: MF

2009: Olivas made the most of his Buff collegiate debut, scoring one goal and tallying one assist for a total of three points on the season. At midfield, Olivas peppered opponent goalkeepers with five shots out of 13 on goal. For his efforts on the pitch, Olivas was named the LSC Co-Freshman Player of the Year as well as all-LSC second team.

High School: In his senior year, Olivas lead the Dons to win the district championship title and he also lettered one year in cross country. He graduated in the top ten percent in his class and was a member of National Honor Society.

Personal: Olivas is the son of Jose and Lourdes Silvestre and has three sisters, Bianca Olivas, Samantha and Ashley Silvestre. Olivas is a Business Management major at WTAMU.
