High School: Graduated from El Paso (Texas) Andress HS. Named honorable mention all-District 1-5A and honorable mention all-City 1-5A in 2004, and second team all-District 1-4A in 2005 and first team all-City 1-4A in 2006. He was also a member of the National Honor Society.

Major: Dominguez is a Pre-Vet major at WTAMU.

Personal: Dominguez is the son of Alfredo and Francisca Dominguez, and has three siblings: Veronica, Maribel, and Miriam. Sister Miriam plays soccer for the Lady Buffs.
