CANYON, Texas - Senior Kent Neal has been chosen to represent the West Texas A&M men's golf team in the NCAA Division II South/South Central Super Regional which will be held in Florence, Ala., May 7-9. Neal is one of 50 individuals picked to play, and will have finish first in the regional to advance into the national champions in Allendale, Mich.

During the Lone Star Conference Tournament, Neal finished in a tie for 11th after shooting an eight over par. The Amarillo, Texas, native is one of four golfers from the LSC to be invited to play in the Super Regional and one of 11 from the region.

Neal is the first Buff golfer to compete at regionals since Chris Washburn, Josh Luongo and Paul Slaugter did so in May 2005.

Highlights of the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships will be shown on CBS at 12:30 p.m., CST, Sunday, July 1. The CBS seasonal show will feature highlights of 17 different NCAA championships that took place during the spring.
