THACKERVILLE, Okla. - West Texas A&M senior Geoffrey Phemister has earned Lone Star Conference men’s golf postseason honors, as announced by the league Sunday night. The awards announcement came at a pre-tournament banquet in Thackerville, Okla., where the LSC Golf Championship will be held on Monday and Tuesday.

Phemister earned honorable mention all-LSC honors.

The all-LSC first team consists of Central Oklahoma’s Colby Shrum, Abilene Christian’s Cyril Bouniol, Northeastern State’s Sam Powell, Midwestern State’s Travis Klutts and East Central’s Zac Pool. The second team is comprised of Central Oklahoma’s Andrew Green and Austin Bowman, Northeastern State’s Josh Boswell, Abilene Christian’s Patrick Hanauer and Texas A&M-Commerce’s Pinkey Hartline.

Joining Phemister as honorable mentions selections are: Abilene Christian: Hilton Funk; Cameron: Brett Leavell; Central Oklahoma: Baer Aneshansley; Northeastern State: Jeff Cox; Southwestern Oklahoma: Jordan Sullivan; Southwestern Oklahoma: Luke Phillips and Texas A&M-Commerce’s Blake Worden.

UCO’s Shrum earned LSC Player of the Year honors, while teammate Green was named Freshman of the Year and Broncho’s coach Dax Johnston earned Coach of the Year honors.
