Buffs finish in seventh at LSC Tournament

CANYON, Texas - After a spring season of improvements in scores for the West Texas A&M men's golf team, the Buffs completed the 2007 season by finishing seventh at the Lone Star Conference Tournament on Tuesday. WTAMU ended with a three-round score of 911, which was 44 strokes behind Northeastern State, which won the tournament by shooting a three over par. The Buffs were led by senior Kent Neal, who shot an eight over par for the tournament and was tied for 11th individually.

Two strokes behind Neal was Roy Holdeman, who finished in a tie for 15th with a three-day score of 226. Senior Spud Dillingham tied for 30th with a three-round total of 232, while junior Jon Musser ended the tournament just a stroke behind Dillingham.

Rounding out the Buffs' scores from the LSC Tournament was sophomore Geoff Phemister, who was 48th with 54 hole score of 243.
