CANYON, Texas - The Lone Star Conference announced its postseason golf awards on Sunday, as voted on by the league coaches. A pair of West Texas A&M golfers were selected to the conference's honorable mention team. Taking home the honors were senior's Beth Nussbaum and Kent Neal.

Earlier this season, Neal topped the leader board at the WTAMU Invitational with a three round score of 218, with his best round coming on his second 18 as he shot a 69. Nussbaum was the top finisher for the women's golf team many times during the 2006-07 season, which included a 10th place showing at the Cactus Thaw on Feb. 12.

Over the weekend Nussbaum was also named to the LSC All-Academic Team. To be eligible for LSC academic honors, student-athletes must carry at least a 3.20 grade point average and be at least a sophomore, both academically and athletically.

The LSC postseason golf tournament started on Monday morning in the Metroplex, and it will conclude Tuesday, April 17.
