Just minutes away from beautiful Pebble Beach Golf Links, the West Texas A&M men's golf team finished 12th with a score of 952 in the Williams Roofing/Otter Invitational at Bayonet Golf Course, hosted by CSU-Monterey Bay. The Buffs (323-320-309 = 952) finished 56 strokes behind tournament champion Washburn University.

Sophomore Geoff Phemister (79-84-74 = 237) led WTAMU with a tie for 43rd overall. Senior Kent Neal (80-82-76=238) placed in a tie for 48th place, while freshman Roy Holdeman (82-79-79 = 240) finished in a tie for the 55th spot. Junior Jon Musser (82-80-80 = 242) ended his weekend in a tie for 62nd place, while sophomore Jonathan Shelley (84-79-83 = 246) rounded out the squad in 68th place.

WTAMU will now prepare for the Lone Star Conference Championship on April 15-17.
