Jon Musser shot a 73 in the third round at Rattler Invitational

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The West Texas A&M men's golf team finished 15th Tuesday at the Rattler Invitational the event was hosted by St. Mary's. The Buffaloes finished 51 strokes behind the winner Texas A&M.

Junior Jon Musser led the way for WTAMU as he shot a three round 227 and tied for 48th. His best score was a final round 73 that he shot on Tuesday, which put Musser 19 strokes behind the winner Nick Cristea of St. Edwards.

Tying for the 64th were senior Kent Neal and sophomore Geoff Phemister, who both shot a plus 18, and a three round score of 231. Other Buffalo notables were senior Spud Dillingham, who finished in a tie for 76th and freshman Roy Holdeman, who was knotted for 83rd, and was 24 over par.

The Rattler Invitational completed the fall season for the Buffaloes, who will pick their clubs back up during the spring semester.
