SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The West Texas A&M University men's golf team is in a four-way tie for eighth-play after the first day of play at the Deerfield Inn/Drury Golf Invitataional, at Hickory Hills Country Club in Springfield, Mo.

The Buffs carded a 22-over par 310, tying Central Arkansas, Southwestern Oklahoma and Missouri Southern. St. Mary's is atop the leaderboard with a one-over 289.

Individually, seniors Josh Duckworth and Jimmy Jameson are in a 10-way logjam for 14th-place, with three-over 75.

Luke Antonelli from St. Mary's leads with a four-under 68, four strokes ahead of the pack.

Action continues Tuesday with the final round of 18 holes.
