DURANT, Okla. – After a short rain delay, Johnny McMillen (Jr., Armagh, Northen Ireland) finished in a tie for fifth-place to lead the West Texas A&M men's golf team to a fifth-place finish at the Texhoma Championship, held at the Chickasaw Pointe Golf Club in Durant, Okla.

The Buffs finished with a combined 54-hole total of 920 (307, 300, 313). Northwood took top team honors with an 892 (289, 292, 311) in the field of 10 teams. Northwood’s Lucas Bogdan finished as the leader individually with 205 (67, 69, 69)

West Texas’ top golfer, McMillen carded a 77 on Tuesday to finish with a 222 (74, 71, 77). Colin Cruz (Jr., Amarillo, Texas) shot 229 (80, 73, 76) to place 15th.

Dustin Nelson (Cleburne, Texas) tied for 22nd with a 234 (77, 78, 79), while Jesse Ely (Sr., Odessa, Texas) was tied for 30th with a 238 (76, 78, 84). Rounding out the Buffs' scoring was Chris Keirns (Thornton, Colo.) who carded a 244 (84, 79, 81) to finish in a tie for 43rd.
